Moriah

I hiked Moriah on 6/26/2015. This was peak number 558 for “The Grid over 60”. The weather forecast was for another perfect hiking day and it certainly was perfect. I took the Carter-Moriah trail from Bangor Street in Gorham which I hadn’t done in a while. There are lots of ledges going this way but they were all dry so it wasn’t a problem. Not too much to see along the trail except some nice mushrooms.

Stopped on Mt. Surprise on the way up where there were some excellent views.

After Mt. Surprise I hiked the remaining couple of miles to the summit where I admired the views and ate my PBJ.

Started the hike down and took a few more pictures.

Got to the parking lot and had time to drive over to Shelburne and redline 4 miles of trail. Only 18 peaks left to finish “The Grid over 60”.
